💭 DO DREAMS COME TRUE?

Someone out there definitely needs to read this today…

I wasn’t even listening to her.

I mean I could hear her, not a clue in the world what she was saying though…

I was off again.

I mean I was gone.

Let me explain…

My world is one long string of continuous “ah ha” moments with the gaps filled in by “light bulb ideas” and “universal downloads”.

I have a hard time listening to podcasts, reading books, or watching videos.

All it takes is one tiny shred of new light…

Boom!

My mind is racing a million miles a minute on how you use social media to monetize it and free yourself from anything you want.

And that day I found myself sitting in a bar, inside of Whole Foods.

I was having a beer with a fellow digital marketing colleague of mine in San Diego.

We were at the tail end of a 2-hour meeting and she mentioned something she heard in a Gary V podcasts that morning…

She repeated Gary and said, “Stop doing shit you hate”

Everything she started to say after that was incoherent to me.

I was gone.

It was in that moment that I knew I could no longer lie to myself.

I hated my agency.

I despised all of my clients.

Needy, annoying swine.

I wanted bigger…

I wanted a personal brand…

I wanted freedom…

I wanted to make money truly helping people…

I wanted to be a highly paid public speaker…

I wanted to…

“Marshal! Hellllllloooo — are you there?”

I snapped back to my body as if a car I was driving slammed into a wall…

“Yeah! I’m sorry haha… I’m such a butthole. I was gone. You could see my wheels turning though, couldn’t you?”

We said are good byes, hugged and went our separate ways.

I walked outside…

I was anxious.

My palms started to get sweaty…

I could feel my heart rate start to speed up.

*thump… thump*

*thump, thump*

*THUMP. THUMP.*

*THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

I had to do it.

I mean I WANTED to do it…

I wanted to my life as I KNEW it to end…

I had been thinking about doing exactly this for days now…

Killing the fear and finding the man I knew I wanted to be…

It had to be done…

I was just so scared…

I legit felt as if I might puke…

I thought to myself, “you just gotta go bro! Lets go bro! Cmon Marshal Gillen!”

The biggest thing holding me back at the time was…

I just kept thinking people will talk shit about me…

They’ll say I’m going to suck…

They’ll say it’s no good, that I’m no good…

And everything else I’ve experienced and heard all my life.

So what I did next I’ll never ever forget.

It’s the day I had my “Tony Robbins Moment”

It’s the moment I DECIDED to change my life…

I wanted to be a public speaker.

I KNEW I could use social media to do it.

I didn’t know HOW…

I just had this feeling of certainty that I KNEW I could do it.

That’s what I was thinking about towards the end of that meeting with my friend.

After she said that Gary V quote, I began thinking about all of this.

This is where my attention was lost to that whole time.

I knew exactly what I had to do…

So I stood up…

Pulled out my iPhone…

Opened my Facebook App…

Clicked Post Status…

Tapped the LIVE button…

And up popped the LIVE video camera…

Staring me straight in the face…

An entire world of doubt waiting for me in the other side…

And with that I hit that little red button and it happened…

‘YOU’RE LIVE!’

It was in that moment I became someone else.

I was someone more confident, assertive, and authoritive.

I didn’t realize until many months later, but that was in THAT moment that my alter ego Marshal LIVE was born.

I truly believed in and knew what I was talking about, and because of that I was ready to make a bold prediction to the world.

Looking back now, what happened next almost seems made up…

I said, “This is my journey to becoming a public speaker. I could fall flat on my face, I don’t think I will, but I welcome you to join me. I’m going to prove that you can use social media and the mobile phone to to completely change your life. I’m going to show you how to go from nothing to making a lot of money. I’m going to do that by telling my story and helping people…”

Fast-forward about 2 years later and here we are.

Traveling around the world to speak…

Built a multi six figure brand…

Live in a luxury high rise over looking the ocean…

I’m only surrounded by amazing people…

And I’m almost always happy, all of the Time.

Now if I’m being honest, I used to say…

“You couldn’t make this up”…

but it turns out I was lying.

Because the truth of the matter is… it’s ALL made up.

All of it.

Reality is ONLY a reflection of what you CHOOSE to see.

I sat down one day and I envisioned a life I wanted, a life that made me happy and a life I was proud of.

I sat there and I MADE UP my dream scenario… my dream life.

It was just that day that I happened to have enough courage and belief to go LIVE and declare my dreams to myself and to the world.

From that day forward I started to live be a very specific “CODE”

I call it “The Alpha Code” because Alpha means “God is in us from the beginning…”

It was by discovering this code that I was able to transform my entire life.

There is not ONE thing that’s ever been more beneficial to my life than understanding this one code.

Over the last 2 years I’ve learned an awful lot about pinpointing the root cause of negative patterns and breaking though limiting beliefs.

As a matter of fact, it’s the Alpha Code that allowed me to learn how to live with happiness, success and wealth in all areas of my life.

You could say I’m a pro at it because it’s allowed me to leave my job, have freedom to travel, work, and live from anywhere, and more money than I’ve ever made.

My #1 piece of advice to you if you’re ready to transform your life and way of being…

Find a CODE OF CONDUCT that you can apply to you life to govern the outcomes you seek and desire most.
